Birthday Bloggin...

Ahh... Fine time celebrating Agnes' 32nd birthday.
She pick a pretty bangin spot in Williamsburg called My Moon. Its a Mid Eastern joint with brick walls and an exposed wood ceiling, dimly lit. The outside is gorgeous too! I must go back in more appropriate weather to eat out there. Everything from beginning to end was outta this world. I recommend the Hummus (sooo good) as a starter and their flank steak was delish. Also, Im not a huge fan of Sangria's but this places is just phenomenal.

YES WE DID!!!

Finally, a bit of inspiration.

I have not blogged in months, but today, oh today, I feel the need to speak out. I have been a ball of thunder throughout Obamas race for presidency. I never once looked at the color of his skin, yet I believed in his ideas. He represented what I felt. He captivated me with his countless speeches. Always on the edge of my seat listening to the words gracefully falling from his mouth. I don't think it was until last night that I realized exactly what Obamas presidency reflected to millions of people in this country. The fact didn't hit me until later in the night after his speech when I checked MSN one last time to look at the blue states on the map and relish a little more in our victory. The headline was simple, NATION ELECTS FIRST AFRICAN AMERICAN PRESIDENT, with those words the impact hit me like a ton of bricks. Yes, Obama will bring about the change this country needs and as he said last night, it wont happen overnight or possibly not even in one term, but what may have been overlooked at that moment (or maybe not) was that CHANGE, in his victory alone had already been implemented.
Welcome to the White House.
