okay, so whatever, true to form I will completely disregard any matters of the heart and or mind. The show must go on.

There isn't really much to write. The kids are well. The dog is well. I am, meh, tolerant of things.

Only the good die young

"As long as it scares me, as long as it's something new, as long as I get to scare other people...,"

"I don't know, as long as I get to evolve and grow as an actor and as a person, that's the stuff I'm after."

Words spoken from the tender lips of Heath Ledger.

His untimely death fills my being with so much pain, not because he is a superstar of whom I am IN LOVE WITH. But more so the tragicness of the loss his daughter will suffer. She will never know him, his passion for her and his work. I am sad for the women in his life who loved him and shared themselves with him. The woman who birthed him, how will she ever recover from such tragedy? I read today that he was suffering from insomnia, that he had dived into his character from The Dark Knight with such depth that he just couldnt stop his mind. His body was heavy and worn, but his mind on speed. If it is true that he OD'd on sleep meds, I am so sorry that was his work that lead to that.

My heart goes out to his family and friends. To all of his loved ones current and past. But most of all to his daughter Matilda Rose.

Bummery, yeah, thats it.

It seems to me that I have been putting up a bit of a fight to keep the pulse pumping this week, so I have decided to go on strike. I am making peace with the fact that this week my daily endeavours will take a backseat to bummery, yep that is right, bummery! The following things will take a back seat to my newly declared status:

  • Cleaning my apartment (screw it, I don't care that the laundry has piled on the bathroom floor)
  • Cooking schmooking... the kids can eat spoonfuls of sugar for all I give a damn this week
  • Knitting, seriously how many scarves can I make for people? At this point I wanna burn my knits and needles. OK?
  • Reading, Ive managed to squeeze a bit in, but not so much
  • Exercising, this one is hard because I haven't been to the gym in for ever, due to a lack of a sitter, so I just recently started again in my living room and the 2nd week back at it, I am taking a break already. Way to go chick!!
  • Pictures, ahhh, I carry my camera with me everywhere I go, the last week or so, it hasn't moved off the counter since I set it down to charge it. Well what you gonna do?

and so there you have it my people that is my list of duties that I'm striking from, Id bust out the picket signs, but again, I'm a bit lazy right now. Sorry.

Today's Lesson

Today I was reminded that the biggest blessings can come in the smallest packages.
When Zachary woke up this morning, he wrapped his little arms around my neck so tight, as if he hadn't seen me in months, as opposed to the 13 hours or so that he was sleeping.
Along with that tight squeeze he said "MOMMY!" with such love and affection that I literally had tears in my eyes.

Its a good feeling to know that you are the center of someones world! Even if those someones are 9,5 and 2.

Uh....huh...thats right!
However, it isn't an ever trendy MAC, but it is a little slice of heaven.
Yes, I am 31 and yes, I would like to thank my mom for such a generous gift.

Happy Freakin New Year!!

Well would you look at that, its 2008!

What a mind blowing year 2007 was. To be quiet honest I'm glad its gone. See ya. No looking back from over here.

Festivities were not so glamorous on NYE at my house. I was completely pooped. Me and Zoe prepared a wonderful dinner for our family and guests. Which was, well the four of us and Sean and Tara. I made party hats for all, and there you have it. We called it a party!
No pictures of Zachie, he was asleep. awe poor guy.
